Renewal of the Colorcoat Prisma® Colour Range

After more than twenty years of success and innovation with Colorcoat Prisma®, Tata Steel proudly introduces a renewed collection of its widely specified pre-finished steel.

Renewed ‘Seren’ Collection

Since its introduction in 2005, Colorcoat Prisma® pre-finished steel has established itself throughout the industry as an exceptionally reliable and highly regarded product. As part of Tata Steel’s commitment to delivering high-quality, performance-driven products and responding to market feedback, the collection has been refreshed with several new shades inspired by the original Elements range. These colours will be introduced gradually over time.

The renewed Seren Collection presents a fresh colour palette featuring beautiful bronze-inspired shades, each offering a timeless and distinctive appearance. The range includes:

• Seren Oren
• Seren Aurum
• Seren Champagne
• Seren Titanium
• Seren Mirage

Three-Layer Technology

Thanks to extensive experience in manufacturing the three-layer Colorcoat Prisma® coating system, all new Seren colours are now supplied with a standard nominal coating thickness of 65 microns, creating a more streamlined and consistent product portfolio.

The combination of advanced three-layer technology with outstanding strength, performance and reliability makes Colorcoat Prisma® the ideal choice for both wall and roof applications.

In addition, the Textured range, introduced several years ago, has proven itself as a highly durable roofing solution, benefitting from an increased nominal coating thickness of 70 microns.

40-Year Confidex® Guarantee

The introduction of the new Seren colours has enabled Tata Steel to simplify its Confidex® guarantee, the most comprehensive guarantee offered in Europe. Furthermore, the guarantee period for roofing applications has been extended from a maximum of 35 years to 40 years across all colours.

Sparkle Colours

Alongside the launch of the new Seren shades, the renewed Colorcoat Prisma® collection offers architects and specifiers greater design freedom and flexibility.

In addition to the standard clear coat available across the full metallic and solid colour range, a Sparkle finish is now also available in selected colours, including Sparkle White and Sparkle Black, subject to minimum order quantities.

Robust Performance and Exceptional Durability

We recognize that sustainability requirements for construction projects continue to increase and that cooling interior spaces in warmer climates is becoming an increasingly significant challenge. There is potential to supply four colours, Cream, Hamlet, Oyster and Anthracite, with an improved SRI compared to the standard shades, providing substantial operational benefits.”

Long-Term Colour and Gloss Retention

Colorcoat Prisma® provides the highest level of UV and corrosion protection, classified as Ruv5 and RC5+ according to EN 10169, ensuring exceptional long-term colour and gloss retention.

This makes it particularly suitable for commercial buildings, retail developments, warehouses and public-sector projects designed for a long service life.

The Confidex® guarantee is issued directly to the building owner, simplifying administration and eliminating the need to deal with complex supply chains in the unlikely event of a coating issue. The guarantee also covers the use of photovoltaic (PV) framed modules without reducing the guarantee period.

Colorcoat Prisma® is the latest generation of pre-finished steel and is available through SAB-profiel. As the most extensively tested pre-finished steel product in its class, it sets the benchmark for performance and innovation, delivering exceptional durability while maintaining an attractive appearance even in the most demanding environments.
