SAB has all the sustainability certifications you need
Certification methods can help to work more sustainably. Sometimes they are simply stated in the design requirements. SAB Profiel has all the certifications you require for most current methods, such as BREEAM: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, EN 1090 and BES 6001 certificates and Environmentally Relevant Product Information (EPD) datasheets. Currently, we are working with the CO₂ Performance Ladder. Our blind sandwich panels are also included in the National Environmental Database; more products will follow.
BREEAM
The Green Building Council (GBC) promotes the BREEAM system. An important instrument is the BES 6001 certification that provides extra points in the BREEAM score. Further, the Environmentally Relevant Product Information (ERPI) datasheets and the Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) are important.
Constructional Compact Staal NL
SAB does not work alone when it comes to sustainability. Together with our partners in construction, SAB has signed the ‘Bouwakkoord Staal’ (Steel Constructional Compact). In this, there are agreements between suppliers to the construction trade to build more sustainably in the Netherlands. The primary agreements are to save 60% CO2 in 2030, to increase the circularity of steel in the construction trade and to reduce environmental risks.
