Almost 90% less CO2 emissions in four years

In 2023, we at SAB achieved an 88% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to the base year of 2019 (100%).

More than half of this emission is caused by natural gas consumption. And because the boiler was turned down low in 2023, emissions were lower than expected. Thus, in just four years, we have nearly eliminated our entire CO2 output.

With new sustainability plans for the coming years, we are confident that we will achieve the ambition of becoming CO2 neutral in the near future. It also serves as a motivation to reach the fifth level on the CO2 performance ladder, where we are currently on the third step. To be continued!
