We are proud to have been awarded CO2 awareness certification at level 3!

We were extremely proud to be awarded a CO₂ Performance Ladder certification this week. It recognizes SAB-profiel’s contribution to the achievement of the European climate goals. The CO₂ Performance Ladder is a tool that is used to measure how much CO₂ companies emit. Here at SAB-profiel, we are doing our best to reduce our CO₂ emissions and our ambition is to be CO₂ neutral.

To convert our ambitions into demonstrable and measurable action, we have used the CO₂ Performance Ladder to help us develop a CO₂ management system. This has given us an insight into the CO₂ emissions of our own systems, as well as CO2 emissions from indirect sources such as the power plants in which our energy is generated. We have used this insight to develop measurable goals for the gradual reduction of CO₂ emissions. For example, the goal for the new panel factory in Geldermalsen is to be CO₂ neutral in 2024.

To see whether we are actually achieving our ambitions, we will be audited annually for compliance with the CO₂ Performance Ladder. The first audit was carried out by Normec (the independent certifying body) this year. We are proud to see that our efforts have been rewarded with CO₂ awareness certification at level 3.
