Producing sandwich panels and profile sheets with lower CO₂ emissions is becoming an increasingly important contribution to our environmental objectives.

We achieve this primarily by using less material- from thinner steel and fewer chemical rinses to collecting our own packaging materials and using recycled materials.
The second route is Zeremis Carbon Lite: steel with a lower CO₂ footprint, ideal for customers looking to achieve their Scope 3 targets.

SAB-ICO2N^® with Zeremis® offers tailor-made green solutions, enabling customers to meet their Scope 3 objectives. With Zeremis Carbon Lite, SAB-profiel introduces steel with a lower CO₂ footprint – a perfect solution for customers aiming to reduce their own footprint. Zeremis Carbon Lite is steel produced with 30% up to 90% lower CO₂ emissions.

Using less material
We continuously reduce material consumption and help customers optimise material use:

• supporting product and design choices to offer thinner (stronger) steel where possible
• eliminating chemical rinses
• minimising production waste (scrap)
• delivering products in required lengths
• reducing packaging where possible
• returning packaging materials to suppliers for reuse
• collecting our own packaging materials from construction sites within a 200 km radius of Geldermalsen and reusing them
• choosing recycled materials wherever possible
• using FSC-certified paper
