Printer makes it easy to print customer logo on parcel sheets
SAB-profiel offers an additional service for customers: the possibility to print their own logo on the sheets of sandwich panel packages.
Having your own logo on the parcel sheets is an attractive extra for communication reasons. Both on the road and on the construction site, our customer’s name is clearly visible.
All that is required is to provide the right company logo. You can email the logo to the Marketing & Communication department: Joyce van Vliet, joyce.van.vliet@tatasteeleurope.com. Do you have any questions about the exact specifications that your logo must meet? Please contact Joyce, telephone 06 5316 2445.
Unloading of parcels
Only parcels up to 6 metres in length can be unloaded with a forklift. Line the forklift forks to prevent damage to the underside of the panels.
Lifting packages longer than 6 meters
Work with crane, slings and wooden beams. Ropes and chains can damage the panels.
Lifting packages longer than 10 meters
Work with an equator with enough lifting straps. If necessary, apply edge protection and place wooden beams underneath. Ropes and chains can damage the panels
Stacking sandwich panels
Stack sandwich panels up to 2 packages high to avoid pressing.
Storing packages
Store packages free of the ground and under slope. Protect packages of tarpaulins from sunlight, rain and pollution. Make sure there is sufficient ventilation (to prevent condensation and white rust). It is also important to protect the packages in case of frost and temperatures above 25 degrees.
Processing sandwich panels
Do not use an angle grinder (grinder) for processing sandwich panels. Machining is only possible with a band saw, special chainsaw or circular saw with the right saw blades. Remove drill and saw residues immediately to prevent burn-in. Avoid drilling and sawing in wet weather.
Don’t walk
Do not walk on or stand on the panels.
Protective film
Panels often have a protective film to protect the paintwork. Remove this film within 4 weeks and/or immediately after assembly.
Fastening sandwich panels
In the case of sandwich panels, make sure that the intermediate supports should not be more than 5 mm ‘out of perpendicular’ in relation to the adjacent supports. Prevent panels from becoming hollow.
Use Vacuum Lifter
ViaVac, among others, supplies special vacuum lifters for hoisting and assembling sandwich panels. Install protection first so as not to damage the panel underneath.
When using vacuum lifter at an oblique angle
ViaVac, among others, supplies special vacuum lifters for hoisting and assembling sandwich panels. Place protection at the end of the panel to prevent damage from sliding.
Keeping it clean
Use a soft brush to remove dirt, saw chips and drill bits immediately.
