Natural daylight in indoor riding arena thanks to SAB‑Vista PC translucent roof panels

A roof with sandwich panels offers numerous advantages: excellent insulation, fast and efficient installation, lightweight structure and appealing aesthetics. But what if the client also requires natural daylight access? In that case, too, SAB‑profiel offers the perfect solution: SAB-Vista PC. These panels allow abundant natural light in and integrate seamlessly with the existing sandwich panels. A nice real-life example can be found at the equestrian centre of Eckermann in Kranenburg, Germany, where thanks to the SAB-Vista PC panels daylight generously illuminates the interior space.

Huisman from Gemert specialises in the construction of riding arenas and horse stables, and knows better than anyone how important natural daylight is for both people and animals. “We were looking for a solution that fits our way of building: functional, attractive and sustainable,” says Mark van der Velden of Huisman. With SAB-Vista PC, SAB-profiel had exactly that solution. The translucent panels connect perfectly to the roof panels SAB D.70.1000 TL and are also applicable for SAB D.90.1000 TL. This results in a roof with a natural look that allows plenty of daylight in – ideal for modern riding arenas and horse stables. In this project, in addition to 1,500 m² of sandwich roof panels with a length of approx. 18 m, a total of 8 translucent panels were installed.
